I change out the differential fluid (diff fluid) on my 1999 Lexus GS400. This is the first time I have changed the diff fluid in my 11 years of ownership. To my surprise the fluid was terrible and the magnet on the drain plug was covered in metallic material. I will drain and refill the diff fluid come my next oil change to see if a substantial amount of metallic bits are still floating around.
