2026 BMW iX xDrive60 review: we put BMW's 4.4-second 0-60 claim to the test with a Draggy Pro unit, tracked a full week of real-world mileage, and charged it on nothing but a 110V wall outlet to see how far the efficiency claims actually hold up.

BMW says the 2026 iX xDrive60 hits 0-60 in 4.4 seconds — in 40-degree weather with a Draggy Pro performance meter, we recorded 4.17 seconds, putting it within striking distance of a base M3 or M4. We also spent over a week using this as a daily driver: 311 miles across highway, city, and road trip driving, charged exclusively on a standard 110V outlet, and never dropped below 70% battery.

This 2026 refresh brings BMW's first-ever use of silicon carbide semiconductors in the iX drivetrain, a 20-horsepower bump to 536 hp, a 113.4 kWh battery (up 4 kWh from the outgoing model), and a claimed 340-mile range — 10% more efficient than the previous generation. We break down the cost-per-mile math (spoiler: it works out to over 100 MPGe against BMW's official 88 MPGe rating), walk through the redesigned front end and M Sport interior, and give an honest take on the new adaptive recuperation system — which isn't as good as it sounds on paper.
