In this video, Horatiu and Nate compare the all-new 2024 BMW i5 eDrive40 against the 2024 BMW 530i. Both 5 Series send power to the rear wheels, but they have completely different drivetrains.

The BMW i5 is an all-electric business sedan with 335 horsepower, while the 530i is powered by a 2.0 liter four-cylinder B48 engine making 255 horsepower. They both have the same torque - 295 lb-ft.

But the 2024 BMW 530i is nearly 1,000 lighter than the BMW i5 eDrive40. So will the extra horsepower and instant torque make up for the weight penalty? We will find out!

At the end of the video, Horatiu and Nate will also tell you which one is the better buy!
