New Polestar 4 SUV First Look – Everything You Need To Know!

2026/09/06

We’ve had an exclusive first look at the new Polestar 4 SUV – a boxier, more practical version of the Polestar 4 Coupe. But is it actually an SUV at all? Or more of an estate and a rival to the Audi A6 Avant e-tron, BMW i5 Touring and VW ID.7 Tourer?

In this video, we find out everything you need to know about the new 4 SUV ahead of first deliveries later in 2026.

You'll find out:
• SUV vs Coupe: a new rear end, and why it’s arguably more of an estate than an SUV
• Design: sculpted lines, hammer-shaped headlights and the return of a rear window
• Practicality: 530-litre boot, height-adjustable boot floor and 15-litre frunk
• Performance: 268bhp Single Motor does 0-62mph in 7.3sec, while the 536bhp Dual Motor does it in just 3.9sec
• Range & charging: 94kWh battery gives the Single Motor a claimed range of 391 miles – more than any A6 Avant e-tron – plus 200kW charging for 10-80% in around half an hour
• Interior: plush materials, an SUV-like driving position and conventional mirrors
• Tech: 15.4in touchscreen, 3D fabric or Nappa leather, and steering wheel and mirror adjustment via the touchscreen
• Rear space: loads of leg and headroom, completely flat floor and electrically reclining seatbacks
• Pricing & trims: from just under £55,000 – about £2000 less than the equivalent Polestar 4 Coupe – with Business Pack as standard
