Overview

Few cars combine couture styling, supercar performance, and aristocratic luxury better than the 2026 Bentley Continental GT coupe and Continental GTC convertible. A plug-in hybrid powertrain featuring a twin-turbo V-8 pumps out megawatt colossal horsepower ratings capable of launching this extravagant rocket to 60 mph in under 3.0 seconds. The Bentley’s suspension is tuned to play, but this two-door knows how to relax too, and it’s a dream come true on long road trips. Its front seats are comfortable and supportive for a day-long drive, and the aromas of wood and leather combine in a rich-smelling bouquet. Of course, excellence comes at a price, and the Continental GT starts deep in the six-figure range and only gets more expensive as you pile on options and customizations.

What's New for 2026?

This year, a base model, a sporty-looking S trim, and a mid-range Azure trim make their debuts, all powered by a 671-hp version of the Continental GT’s plug-in hybrid powertrain. While the entry-level and S coupe and convertible models wear a front fascia and grille that are very similar to the Speed model, the Azure has more chrome accents and a waterfall grille with 11 chrome strips. The Azure also wears unique 22-inch wheels, open-pore wood interior trim, and special illuminated door sill protector plates. Like all Bentley models, these new additions are highly customizable and effortlessly luxurious

Engine, Transmission, and Performance

The Continental GT coupe and GTC convertible are powered by a 671-horsepower plug-in-hybrid powertrain that consists of a twin-turbocharged V-8 engine and an electric motor. An eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel drive are both standard. Step up to a Speed or Mulliner model, and you’ll get a whopping 771 horsepower from the same powertrain, making it the most powerful road-going Continental GT to date. When we drove the Continental GT Speed, we found the hybrid powertrain to be astonishingly powerful and quite refined as well. The Continental GT's prodigious weight hurts its handling and braking performance, but it's sublimely comfortable and quiet.

Interior, Comfort, and Cargo

It isn't a Bentley unless the interior is draped in high-end leather and wood, and that's exactly what you'll find inside the Continental GT. Heavily-cushioned chairs with quilted leather upholstery are all-day comfortable, feature 20-way power adjustability, and can be equipped with both a massage feature and an automatic climate control system that activates the heat or ventilation function if it detects you're too cold or too warm. The rear seats aren't spacious, but they should be able to fit two adults for short trips. The GTC convertible model features a cloth top that's power-operable and can deploy in as little as 19 seconds should it start to drizzle; the top is available in seven colors. Speaking of which, buyers can spec their Continental GT any way they want through the company's Mulliner bespoke-build customization service when the standard list of options isn't quite hitting expectations.
