The Aston Martin Vantage Roadster has always been one of our favourite drop-top performance cars, but the latest version is unlike any other that's gone before.

That's because, in taking its lead from the recently launched new Vantage coupe, the Roadster now has 656bhp and an almighty contact patch to put it to the ground, as well as sophisticated chassis electronics.

It promises to be utterly fierce, and Aston reckons it has truly minimised the dynamic compromises normally experienced by cutting the roof off a sporting coupe.
