2023 Mazda CX-60: Confirmed Pricing, Release Date & Engine Specs for Mazda's BMW X3 Rival

2022/11/29

We reveal full pricing, specifications and engine choice for the 2023 Mazda CX-60 luxury SUV in Australia, where the model will start from just under $60K.

In mid-2023, Mazda will release its first luxury SUV product in Australia. The midsize CX-60 will be a direct competitor to the Audi Q5, Lexus NX, Volvo XC60, Mercedes-Benz GLC, and BMW X3. However, the CX-60 is priced more sharply than those vehicles.

We’ve already driven the CX-60 which you can watch here:

Notably, the CX-60’s entry level engine will be a six-cylinder turbo petrol, unlike the modest four-cylinder engines offered on the competition’s cheaper models. There will also be an available straight-six turbo Diesel engine and a four-cylinder plug-in hybrid that is the most powerful production Mazda ever.

Later, Mazda will reveal a CX-90 three-row large SUV, plus CX-70 and CX-80 models. There might even be a new Mazda 6 on the company’s new rear-wheel drive architecture.

As always, we don’t accept advertising from car manufacturers, and we’re powered by Budget Direct - so this is an independent, honest review of the Mazda CX-60.
