2026 Mercedes S-Class MAYBACH interior review
Interior and utility features of the new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class facelift:
Interior details: The cabin features exquisite craftsmanship, including Burmester sound system speakers that move, premium wood or lacquer trim, and enhanced dampening for a quieter ride. For the first time, an animal-free interior option (fabric/linen and leatherette mix) is available.
Heated seat belt: A new luxury convenience feature for the front seats is the heated seat belt, which can warm up to 44°C (111°F).
Cockpit update (08:02: The cockpit features the MBUX Superscreen with a horizontal orientation, including a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 14.4-inch central display, and a passenger screen. The steering wheel has returned to using physical dials for cruise control and volume.
Rear luxury: The rear cabin offers immense legroom due to the extended wheelbase. Features include 13-inch infotainment screens, electric doors, an integrated fridge for champagne with secure holders, and a chauffeur package that allows the passenger seat to recline significantly. The active noise cancellation has been replaced by superior physical soundproofing for a more natural, quiet experience.
*Trunk/boot: The trunk space is impacted by the rear-seat fridge, but the fridge unit is removable for those needing extra cargo capacity. The depth of the trunk depends on the powertrain (e.g., combustion engine vs. plug-in hybrid).
