In-depth interior review of the 2026 BMW 7-Series facelift

2026/06/25

2026 BMW 7-Series Interior Quality
The interior features high-quality materials and a solid build. It offers *Vigansa* (animal-free) seating options, though these currently lack a cooling function.
The cabin includes a panoramic glass roof as standard, with an optional interior shade.

Cockpit and Interface
The layout is inspired by the *i3*, featuring a unique dashboard cutout and a dedicated passenger display.
The system uses "Panoramic Vision" to bring infotainment closer to the driver. While physical climate buttons have been removed in favor of screen-based controls, the system is designed with a focus on ergonomics and ease of use.

Bowers & Wilkins 36-Speaker System
This new high-end sound system delivers an intense surround sound experience. It includes 4D functionality that allows for seat vibrations, though the host notes this may not be for everyone.

Driver POV
From the driver's seat, the thumb grips on the new steering wheel provide excellent control.
Drivers can configure personalized driving modes, allowing for a mix of chassis comfort and sportier steering resistance. Automatic doors can be operated via hotkeys or by pressing the brake pedal to close them.

Rear Luxury Seats
These seats are highlighted as being exceptionally comfortable and plush, with better ergonomics than the *S-Class* in the host's view.
The "Executive Rear Package" allows for a significant range of motion, letting tall passengers fully stretch their legs.
The updated theatre screen now allows for direct *YouTube* access without needing an external streaming stick.

Trunk / Boot
The trunk is spacious, easily accommodating a trolley vertically. It features a ski hatch for longer items, though the rear seats do not fold down.
