2026 Audi RS7
Price: $135,295

Overview

With its A7 and S7 siblings now discontinued, the 2026 Audi RS7 hangs on for another year as an aging but virile representative of the automaker's elegant four-door fastback sedan formula. More than just a pretty, uh, everything, the RS7 packs a potent 621-hp turbo V-8 mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. Combined, they launched the RS7 to sixty mph in a scant 2.9 seconds in C/D testing.

But the RS7 doesn't use its prodigious performance as an excuse to fatigue you with a constantly droning exhaust or an interior that feels like an afterthought. Its trademark Audi interior style and complement of contemporary tech and infotainment go a long way to make commuting and road trips enjoyable. While the RS7's future may be uncertain, in the moment, it remains one of our favorite sport sedans.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance

Engine: 621-hp turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8.
Transmission: 8-speed automatic
Drivetrain: all-wheel drive

Power comes from a brilliant twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 that pairs with a 48-volt hybrid system, eight-speed automatic transmission, and Quattro all-wheel drive. The 2025 RS7 is available only in a Performance tune that's good for 621 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque, up from the 591 horses and 590 pound-feet of torque from the standard 2023 model. Every RS7 rides on an air suspension with adaptive settings for varying levels of stiffness.

The RS7 feels refined regardless of the drive mode, although opting for the largest 22-inch rims (21s are standard) does compromise the ride quality somewhat, allowing more impacts to vibrate through the cabin. Crazy quick and unerringly comfortable, the RS7 is rewarding to bend into corners thanks to the poised chassis and the added agility of its standard rear-wheel-steering system. The optional carbon-ceramic brakes hauled this heavy four-door from 70 mph to zero in an impressive 143 feet, and it gripped the skidpad at a tenacious 1.06 g.

Interior, Comfort, and Cargo

First Row: The standard front sport seats feature rich leather upholstery and good support, but we found their firmness to grow a bit tiring on extended drives. Heating and ventilation are standard, and they can be reskinned with even plusher leather. A 12.3-inch instrument screen relays pertinent driver data, and the interior is dotted with trim-specific logos and other unique accents that reflect the RS7's sporting nature and lofty position in the Audi lineup.
