Renault Twingo review | An EV for £19k!? | Autocar
The Renault Twingo is back. And this time it’s not just funky, but electric, too.
It’s Renault’s latest reborn icon, a 3.8m long city car, that underneath is much like the Renault 5, apart from a few differences that we describe here.
It has quite a small battery, of just 27.5kWh, but because it’s relatively efficient, at 5mpkWh, that gives it a reasonable range of around 160 miles. There aren’t many electric city cars that offer more.
It has been developed in very quick time, too, and with an extremely tight budget in mind: we’re assured the Twingo will start at under £20,000 when it goes on UK sale.
But just how good is this new Twingo? Join Matt Prior as he reveals all.
