2025 Lamborghini URUS - Full interior & Exterior Details
2025 Lamborghini Urus Expert Review
Lamborghini’s only SUV returns this year with a new more efficient model, the Urus SE. The super crossover delivers all-electric driving range and the most power in the lineup. Exotic sports SUV competitors include the Aston Martin DBX, Ferrari Purosangue, and Bentley Bentayga.
What’s New
Lamborghini adds a plug-in hybrid to the brand’s SUV lineup for 2025. The new SE model makes for a third Urus trim level.
What We Think
Lamborghini has a more complete selection of Urus super SUVs with the introduction of the plug-in hybrid model. Maximum performance still comes with the Performante trim, the most track-ready SUV we’ve ever tested. It’s impressively quick and sounds great, too. A stiff suspension and lackluster fuel economy undermine everyday drivability, but that’s where the new model comes in.
The Urus SE PHEV isn’t as hardcore as the Performante but can turn snarling and loud in the right drive mode and feels almost as quick. In EV mode, though, it’s as docile as you’d expect a high-end luxury SUV to be thanks to quiet tires and an active air suspension. The Urus SE might be the most diverse and daily drivable Lamborghini yet.
Urus SE Performance and MPG
The new SE model takes the Urus’ twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 and supplements output with a motor integrated into the SUV’s eight-speed automatic transmission. Combined output comes to 789 hp and 701 lb-ft of torque, which Lamborghini says can enable launches to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 194 mph. Every Urus, plug-in hybrid or not,
features standard all-wheel drive.
The motor is supported by a 25.9-kWh battery, enough capacity for roughly 37 miles of electric-only driving up to speeds of 80 mph or so (though the engine will start up if the vehicle’s computer senses a need). Lamborghini is targeting a combined fuel economy of 48 mpg-e. Charging the Urus to 100 percent with an appropriate Level 2 charger can take up to 4 hours and 20 minutes.
Urus Gas-Only Trims Performance and MPG
Without motors and a battery, the Urus is offered in two twin-turbo V-8 grades, a 631-hp S base model and 656-hp Performante. Both make 627 lb-ft of torque and return the same fuel economy, 14/19 mpg city/highway. A 2023 Performante launched to 60 mph in an MT-tested 3.0 seconds, quick for a sports car, downright warp speed for an SUV.
Safety Features
Blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and lane keeping and centering are standard with the 2025 Urus. Other available driver assists include semi-autonomous parking, a head-up display, and the Urus’ night vision camera view. A 360-degree camera is also available.
