New 2025 Lincoln Aviator | Have You Seen This SUV?

2025/08/30

2025 Lincoln Aviator

HIGHS
Fancy cabin appointments, handsome outward appearance, gutsy turbo powertrain.
LOWS
Could be more fuel efficient, Ford underpinnings dilute its prestige, some rivals offer better value.
VERDICT
With a plush cabin, a big motor, and a compliant suspension, the Lincoln Aviator is a new-age Town Car with an SUV body.

Now that Lincoln is a brand consisting entirely of SUVs, the 2025 Aviator has taken up the mantle formerly occupied by the Town Car. The mid-size three-row SUV honors its forbear with a softly sprung suspension, a powerful engine, and a relaxing luxury-car interior. Don't believe it? Look closely at Aviators in traffic and you'll notice they've quickly become a favorite among livery drivers who once favored Lincoln's Panther-platform sedan. The Aviator occupies the space just below the Navigator in the Lincoln lineup and nearly outdoes that flagship SUV when it comes to premium amenities and features. The top-spec Black Label model is especially posh and features high-end appointments, unique interior themes, and ownership perks that buyers of lesser trims don't get. The Lincoln badge doesn't have the same prestige as BMW or Mercedes-Benz, but the automaker's unique take on luxury is still appealing.

What's New for 2025?

Styling updates for 2025 give the Aviator a fresh look, particularly in the front where Lincoln has redesigned the grille and headlamps. New lighting strips flash with sequential animations as the driver approaches the SUV, and again when the vehicle is locked and the driver walks away. On the Reserve and Black Label models, the headlights gain an adaptive feature that can alter the illumination based on speed and steering input. Inside, all Aviators receive a new 13.2-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 12.4-inch digital gauge cluster. The new Lincoln Digital Experience interface, which was developed with help from Android Automotive, is said to be Lincoln's fastest system yet and features Google Maps, Google's voice assistant, and more. The Black Label model gets a fancy new interior design theme called Invitation, and an optional Special Edition package blacks out the exterior trim and adds a black-painted roof, as well as 22-inch Ebony Black wheels. All Aviator variants pick up the company's Blue Cruise hands-free driving tech. A handful of new colors and wheel designs are available, too.

Pricing and Which One to Buy

The price of the 2025 Lincoln Aviator starts at $60.990 and goes up to $89.090 depending on the trim and options.
