● Yestarday, during the kunoschaer.ch track day at Monza circuit, we had the extremely rare chance to get an onboard footage of the Le Mans winning 2008 Audi R10 V12 TDI LMP1 racecar. This is the car that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June 2008 with Rinaldo Capello, Allan McNish and Tom Kristensen. The Audi R10 TDI's engine is a 5.5-liter V12 twin-turbocharged diesel engine, designated as a V12 TDI. It produces over 650 horsepower and a peak torque exceeding 1100 Nm (811 lb-ft). The engine features four valves per cylinder, dual overhead camshafts, and is constructed from aluminum with a carbon fiber composite and aluminum honeycomb core.
