The U.S. Department of Energy’s long-running collegiate automotive engineering competitions have provided a much-needed hands-on, real-world skill incubator for thousands of students over the years. The 2026 editions of the EcoCAR EV Challenge and Battery Workforce Challenge wrapped up in Detroit recently, and we were along for the ride!
