We’ve been refreshing our inboxes for an invite to drive the new 2026 Mazda CX-5 since it was unveiled last summer. Well, that invite finally came, and after some Southern California seat time, we’re happy to say that, even with the fresh style and new tech, this compact crossover retains many of the on-road characteristics drivers have come to expect and appreciate, us included.
