Your BMW is where technology meets sporty styling and luxury conveniences. Your Central Information Display is designed to be both powerful and intuitive, centralizing control of navigation, entertainment, and vehicle settings.
But what happens when it’s not working
quite as expected?
Sometimes, just like any sophisticated technology, your Central Information Display may need a reset. Performing a reset is simple and can resolve a multitude of issues, such as sluggish performance, unresponsive controls, or software bugs. Don't worry, we've got you covered. Here's how to perform a CID reset in just a few easy steps.
With the vehicle turned on, press, and hold the volume Wheel for about 20 seconds. Once the
screen goes black, you can release the wheel and wait for the system to fully restart.
And that's it! Your CID system is now reset and ready to perform optimally.
If you continue to experience trouble with your CID, contact your BMW Genius, Client Advisor, or BMW Service Center for additional support.
