2025 Honda CR-V Production Line - Made in USA
Honda has begun production of the 2025 CR-V e:FCEV, a fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV), at their Performance Manufacturing Center in Marysville, Ohio. This new CR-V e:FCEV is notable for being the only FCEV manufactured in the United States and the first to combine a U.S.-made fuel cell system with plug-in EV charging capabilities. The vehicle offers a 270-mile EPA driving range, with an additional 29 miles of EV driving for short trips, thanks to its plug-in charging feature. Honda's investment in this vehicle reflects its commitment to zero-emission technology and carbon neutrality goals.
The CR-V e:FCEV's production benefits from the extensive experience and craftsmanship of the Performance Manufacturing Center, previously known for producing the Acura NSX. The facility has been extensively updated to handle the unique requirements of FCEV production, including new welding systems, a state-of-the-art battery pack line, and a modified paint system. The CR-V e:FCEV, which features a powerful new fuel cell system co-developed with General Motors, showcases Honda's advances in efficiency, durability, and cost reduction. This new model not only continues the legacy of the popular CR-V but also positions Honda at the forefront of the clean energy vehicle market.
