There are 375 of these carbon fiber, 903 horsepower masterpieces from McLaren in the entire world. The P1 is McLaren's entry into the so-called hybrid hypercar Holy Trinity. Similar ingredients to the Ferrari LaFerrari and Porsche 918 Spyder but they are very different in their own epic ways. The P1 combines a mid-engined twin turbo V8 with hybrid boost for staggering performance. 7 speed DCT, RWD only, dry weight of just over 3000 lbs, 0-60 in 2.7s and a top speed of 217 mph. One of my absolute dream cars, the P1 may be a decade old but still provides an exhilarating automotive experience. The noises from the roof scoop and turbos are astounding. This was a amazing experience getting to drive and review a McLaren P1. Proof that hybrids aren't always boring. Enjoy this review!
