Driving Nissan Ariya 87 kWh FWD 2022 with 7.4 kW standard on-board charger (charging video soon).

Car Scanner app shows such parameters even in Toyota bZ4X / Subaru Solterra.

my observations in Nissan Ariya:
- Ariya cabin is very quiet
- the heatpump is noisy, you can hear it inside the cabin when idling (just like Megane E-TECH)
- battery power output (driving/acceleration) is negative "HV EV Battery power kW", positive kW is regen (you can change it in Settings / Fuel consumption - set to Electric, then Invert Battery Power value sign +/-)
- SOC displayed in Car Scanner is probably not the real BMS SOC, seems like an approximation for SOC display, and differs 1-2% at high SOC compared to charger screen (just like Renault Zoe).
- when OBD2 voltage drops below 13.0V, the 12v battery is being discharged (because DC-DC converter is turned off)
- battery pack temperature is not displayed in Car Scanner
- individual cell voltage is not displayed in Car Scanner

This app works in Renault Megane E-TECH electric - car built on identical CMF-EV platform as Nissan Ariya (I checked and unfortunately the LeafSpy app does not work in Nissan Ariya).

Settings - Interface Units: switch HP to kW
activate GPS speed and GPS location, if needed (GPS Altitude-elevation, and visualisation of entire trip on Google maps in Data Recording)

Battery preheating in Nissan Ariya is manual, you need to press the button - allegedly works only 30 minutes only each time, but it did NOT turn off after 30 minutes during my drives. Every time button needs to be pressed again. I could not see battery temperature in Ariya.

Battery preconditioning in Megane E-Tech:
- Battery state of charge must be over 10% SOC, and
- a DC-fast charging station must be set as destination in the internal navigation system, and
- preconditioning will start when distance to DC charging station is less than 45 km.
You should watch the HV EV Battery Power, battery heater uses 5 kW.
I have no information what is the minimum battery temperature when preconditioning will begin in Megane E-TECH.

Car Scanner ELM OBD2 on Android Auto (unofficial)
You need 2 free apps (not available on Google Play, so in Android Auto settings allow options: Developer mode, Apps from unknown sources). First app to install is AAAD: https://github.com/shmykelsa/AAAD/releases

Open AAAD, select and install Android Auto Mirror AAM. AAM works for me, you may try other apps on list.

Open Car Scanner and AAM apps on the phone. Start Android Auto, click AAM icon on Android Auto screen. Car Scanner will be displayed (mirrored) on Android Auto screen - but all Car Scanner touch buttons work only on phone screen. At the end of trip remember to manually close AAM on the phone.
