2026 Honda Passport TrailSport - Crane Demonstration
Honda recently released a jaw-dropping video showcasing the toughness of the all-new 2026 Honda Passport TrailSport by suspending three unmodified Passports vertically from a 140-foot crane, using only the vehicle’s front recovery points.
The 2026 Passport TrailSport and TrailSport Elite are the first Honda light trucks to feature exposed, heavy-duty front recovery points. These bright orange cast-iron loops were purpose-built as closed-loop recovery systems for added safety. Each point can support twice the vehicle’s weight, is powder-coated to resist corrosion, and designed to break away during a front-end collision — a world-first patented safety innovation that helps Honda aim for best-in-class safety ratings.
Demonstration highlights:
• All three vehicles were built in Alabama, with fluids drained and transmissions in neutral.
• The topmost Passport’s recovery point supported over 14,000 lbs.
• The front bumper of the highest vehicle reached a height of 100 feet.
