https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCW2OUlFrrWiZvSsZRwOYmNg BMW and Valeo have announced a partnership to co-develop next-generation Level 4 automated parking technologies, including Automated Valet Parking (AVP) for BMW's upcoming platform generation "Neue Klasse". The AVP technology will range from Automated Maneuver Assistance to Level 4 AVP, and will be based on sensors and software in the car, as well as infrastructure-based services. The partnership will develop a powerful computing platform hosting the jointly developed algorithms. AVP offers a fully automated and driverless parking experience, and will be categorized into Type 1 and Type 2 systems based on where the necessary technologies are installed. The partnership supports both types of AVP, and will strive for the most advanced solutions for next-generation parking experiences up to Level 4 according to market and customer requirements.
