GMC introduces the new Duramax in-line 6-cylinder diesel engine in the 1500 line of pickup trucks. The 3.0L Duramax in-line 6-cylinder takes on the RAM Ecodiesel 3.0 V6 and the Ford Powerstroke 3.0 L V6 engines. The Sierra 3.0L V6 Duramax 6-cylinder has 277hp but 460lb.-ft. of torque compared to the 480lb.-ft from the RAM ecodiesel and 440 lb.-ft. from the Ford Powerstroke. The GMC Sierra is the 1500 truck sold by GMC but it is basically the same as the Chevrolet Silverado. The GMC Sierra Elevation is an optics package with black wheels an dark grille and tow hooks.
