1997 - 2001 Honda CR-V Commercials Compilations (Part 1)
When Honda released the original CR-V in 1997, Cars.com says it set the standard for what was then an all-new lineup of compact crossover SUVs. The original CR-V came with standard all-wheel drive, and it boasted a lengthy list of additional equipment. Even for its compact size, the first generation of CR-V possessed roomy back seating, front passenger storage bin, side-hinge rear entry, and a folding picnic table.
The CR-V only came in one trim level then: the CR-V LX. With folding rear seats and its hide-away picnic table, the earliest versions of CR-V were something to talk about. Honda released the CR-V EX in 1998, a year after the CR-V's initial debut. This ride came with some key updates that year, including:
- 15-inch alloy rims
- Anti-lock-braking system
- All-wheel-drive or front-wheel-drive options
The all-new CR-V SE edition debuted in 2000. This later first-gen model featured a leather interior, chrome accents, CD and cassette combo, and a navigation system.
Whether you're buying used or new, you're going to have a reliable, easy ride with relatively decent fuel efficiency with the CR-V. For newer models, the CR-V provides comfort and safety for single and family driving.
