BMW X4 is the answer to first world problems. BMW claims the X4 is more, than just an X3 with a bit of boot chopped off. In the X4 you get intelligent xDrive AWD system, sport M suspension or the sport adaptive steering as standard. Yes, you can have a RWD X3, but most engine variants come with AWD anyway. The difference between the X3 and X4, both powered by a 2-liter 190 hp diesel, both with AWD is almost 4 thousand euro. The M suspension and M steering, which are standard on the X4, cost 1000 and 250 euro respectively if available separately, or are a part of the M Package, which is only slightly cheaper for the X4. So you are paying more for your standard equipment. The only thing you are really getting, is the lower center of gravity, as the X4 is 5.5 cm lower, than the X3.
