How To Use The BMW Auto Hold Feature
Learn how to use the Auto Hold feature in your BMW with this step-by-step guide from BMW How-To. This innovative function, available on models with an automatic transmission, automatically applies and releases the brakes — ideal for stop-and-go traffic or holding your vehicle on an incline.
In this video, we’ll show you how to activate Auto Hold by simply pressing a button on the center console. Once the system is active, a green “AUTO H” light will appear in the instrument cluster, letting you know your BMW is secure. When you’re ready to drive off, just press the accelerator — the brakes will release automatically.
Plus, if you switch off the drive-ready state or exit the vehicle while Auto Hold is engaged, the parking brake will activate automatically, giving you added peace of mind. Watch now to master this smart BMW feature and enjoy a smoother, more relaxed drive.
