The BMW Z8 (internal model E52) is a sports car produced by Munich-based carmaker BMW from March 2000 to July 2003. The Z 07 concept car was already on display at the 1997 Motor Show in Tokyo and in 1998 in Detroit. The production version of the car was unveiled at the IAA 1999. 5703 units were produced by hand between March 2000 and July 2003 (555 vehicles based on the Z8 were sold by the carmaker Alpina).
